Providing quality medical care for children and adolescents
Dr. Ericka Hong grew up in Indiana. As an undergraduate, she attended Indiana University and majored in Biochemistry with a minor in East Asian Studies. After college, she decided to try life in the “big city” and went to New York University for medical school. Not only did she get to study medicine but she also experienced the vast diversity and culture of New York City. Seeking warmer weather however, she headed to UCLA for her pediatrics residency. After finishing residency, she and her husband decided to settle in southern California.
Currently, Dr. Hong and her husband are busy raising three active young boys. She loves being a mom and enjoys the challenges and joys of raising children. In her free time she likes to travel and experience new cultures and cuisine. She is also active in her church and has gone on several medical missions trips. Due to her Midwestern roots, she is also an avid football fan. Before she had children she enjoyed doing yoga and kickboxing but as with any working mother, she now settles for an occasional jog on the treadmill when she can.
After working in several other practices, Dr. Hong was excited to join Pomona Pediatrics in 2006. She had already experienced the practice as a parent since her son was a patient before she joined. Dr. Hong is board certified in Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
